Unfortunately, on a public holiday on 3rd. February 2015 at about 9.26 pm, two sets of our CCTV cameras were stolen from the lower ground floor car park area. Due to our faulty roller gates, we are not able to close the doors after 8.00 pm each night. As such, any person(s) can come into lower ground car park area especially at night. We knew these cameras were removed on the above time because the video was lost at that time.
Your JMB has requested our CCTV system supplier to install new cameras by next week. However, we need to install them in a secure area eg within the gated lower ground lift lobby area. One camera will monitor the car entry area while the 2nd. camera will monitor the car park area towards the exit. Hopefully, with this new arrangement, the cameras cannot be stolen. As the JMB did not install the car entry system but by the car plot owners themselves, we have requested them to repair the car outlet boom as it is now not functioning correctly. It is always in "Open" mode, and unauthorised cars can park inside the car park by reversing their cars from the open boom.
For car owners and tenants of the car park area, please be advised that your JMB is not responsible for any theft or loss/damage to cars by unauthorised personnel. Since the car park lots are owned and rented out by individual owners and currently, no maintenance fees are paid to JMB, the CCTVs are installed by JMB to monitor in and out movement of persons/cars into our business centre.
We are currently providing ample lighting and 24hrs CCTV monitoring/recording system as a service to our owners and tenants. If there is any request for more CCTVs to be installed and to shut down the roller doors nightly, JMB requests the car park owners to pay for monthly maintenance fees for their car park lots.
