Recently, we have found tenants in our business centre putting unwanted furniture in our fire escape staircase. A tenant on the ground floor has put empty bottles of beer outside their fire escape door blocking free access to the lower ground fire exit.
This action is irresponsible as it prevents people to escape from the upper floors if there is any emergency evacuation due to fire. Blocking the common stairs corridor with empty beer crates should not be carried out in the first place.
We call on tenants not to put unwanted office furniture or other items in these areas immediately.
