Yesterday in the late evening, one office located on the 4th. Floor had a power failure. The main fuse of the their incoming switchboard shorted and smell of smoke occurred at the corridor.
TNB was called in and a new fuse was changed.
From the technical aspect, this incident happened because there was an overload.
Too many air conditioners may have installed which the normal 1 phase 240volts power supply cannot handled and the fuse blew up.
For offices which intend to install more air conditioners, they should check with our building maintenance office before they add additional items.
