Fire panel has been reset to normal this morning. It is working alright this morning. After clearing up smoke within the lobby, we can reset the alarm.
Some one at about 5.01pm smoked at the lobby which caused the smoke detector to be activated. Activation is not due to faulty or dust in smoke detector.
Just after 5.00pm this evening, our smoke detector located on the ground floor at main lift lobby, was triggered.
Our fire alarm sounded out the whole building indicating a possible fire is detected.
Some of our owners and tenants came swiftly down to the outside ground floor upon hearing the fire alarm.
After checking our fire panel at lower ground, the alarm was triggered by the smoke detector at our main lift lobby.

A number of possibilities can cause this alarm to be activated.
Maybe, someone smoked in the lift or lift lobby. A faulty smoke detector or dust in the smoke detector can caused it to be triggered.
Our fire maintenance company has been notified and they will check the actual cause of this activation.
We appeal to all owners and tenants that our building rules do not allow smoking on all floor corridors and lobby.
Smoke detectors installed are able to detect smoke and the fire alarm will be sounded.
We practise a smoke free environment in our building premises, so please help us by not smoking within our premises.
