The KLMRT works undertaken by IJM at Cheras is progressing in a feverish rate. Construction works can be seen at Jalan Loke Yew, Bukit Mewah and Leisure Mall areas. Work areas have been cordon off and so far, there is no traffic jams except some slow traffic. Luckily, traffic is moving.
As Jalan Cheras is wide enough, construction of the MRT columns can be carried out during the day without any hindrance to the daily traffic. Once the columns are finished, the overhead sections can be constructed which will not disrupt the traffic. Hopefully, in 4.5 years, we shall be able to travel in this Mass Rail Transit.
