IJM Corporation was reported to have been successful in the tender for the construction works of the MRT from Maluri to Plaza Phoenix. Worth about RM 978 Million, the contract will start in April 2012 and completed in 2015.
The line forms part of the MRT from Sungai Buloh to Kajang and is to be above ground. It will connect Maluri, Cheras, Leisure Mall and then to Plaza Phoenix.
The other package from Plaza Phoenix to Bandar Tun Hussein Onn has been awarded to Azman Zaki.
This MRT line is a boon to our Cheras Commercial Centre as there will be a station at Taman Bukit Ria, the taman next to our Commercial Centre. It will make our Centre accessible to the public. The next station will be at Leisure Mall.
Once completed, our properties here will appreciate in value and in rental.
