Over this week, at least 3 office suites have been letted out to interested parties. Most of the tenancies will begin in mid July 2012. One office suite on 5th. floor was taken while a unit each were letted on 1st. and 3rd. floors respectively.
Currently, only one shop front located at the ground floor remains untenanted with another office suite on 4th. Floor. This makes up the occupancy rate of our Cheras Business Centre Block J to reach about 94% occupancy rate.
Our Joint Management Committee has been active since May 2012 and our effort have proven to be effective. Cleanliness around the corridors and lower ground has been tidied up. Security has been improved with the hiring of a guard and the installation of CCTVs and very soon the implementation of the Access Card system will be carried out.
The Lift lobby and the lift cabin have been brightened up and a scheduled lift maintenance will be carried out on a monthly basis. At the same time, at the Lower Ground Lift entrance and postboxes area, we have lighted it up. It used to be dark and gloomy. All these action taken has enhanced the security and image of our premises.
Also, we have contacted the installer of our fire fighting system. They will be checking the fire protection system and a maintenance contract will be negotiated. If necessary, a fire drill maybe carried out so that all owners and tenants will be ready for evacuation in case of fire. We hope our owners and tenants will co-operate with our JMC if we do carry out a fire drill in the future.
